The 2015 Hyundai Accent is available in three trim levels: the GS hatchback, the Sport hatchback and the GLS sedan. All trims have a 1.6L 4-cylinder engine that makes 138 horsepower. The engine is mated to a standard 6-speed manual or an optional 6-speed automatic transmission. MacPherson struts are used in front and a torsion beam suspension is used in the rear.
The GLS 4-door sedan comes relatively well equipped with a 6-way manually adjustable seat, one-touch triple-flash turn signals, sliding sun visors, a driver's side blind spot mirror, center armrest with cup holders, seatback pockets, illuminated vanity mirrors, a sunglass holder, air conditioning, a trip computer and a 6-speaker CD and MP3 player. When equipped with the Premium Package, the GLS also includes projector headlights with LED accents, a driver's side auto-up window and tilt/telescopic steering wheel.
Standard equipment on the GS is similar to that of the GLS despite the differences in bodystyle. The GS does include a rear windshield wiper while the GLS does not.
The Sport adds 16-inch alloy wheels with performance tires, rear disc brakes, a sport-tuned suspension, fog lights and projector headlights with LED accents. Power windows with driver's side auto-up, power locks and power mirrors are standard on the Sport and optional on the GS and GLS. The Sport also gets a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. The steering wheel comes complete with controls for the stereo and cruise control and features tilt/telescoping. Buyers wanting a sunroof will need to order the Sport trim in order to select the $900 option.
All 2015 trims come standard with 4-wheel anti-lock brakes. Advanced front airbags, side impact airbags, side head and rear head airbags, tire pressure monitoring and seatbelt pretensioners are also standard.

Impressive Interior Passenger Room
Available As A Hatchback Or Sedan
The Accent gets a mild exterior refresh for 2015, with new headlights, new wheels and a new grill. The interior car has also been touched up with new seating fabrics. Equipment levels are mostly unchanged though the GLS sedan is now available with a Popular Equipment Package. Last year's SE model has now been renamed as the Accent Sport.
The Hyundai Accent is a subcompact available as either a sedan or a hatchback. Well-equipped in standard form, the Accent features an impressive 92.2 total cubic feet of passenger room, defying the myth of the small car's cramped cabin. Fuel economy is also impressive, averaging 28 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway, thanks in part to special low rolling resistance tires.
