The 2020 Nissan Rogue is available in three trims: S, SV and the top-of-the-line SL. Nissan keeps things pretty simple with powertrain options for the Rogue, which includes a Hybrid option. Standard power comes from a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine making 170 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque, which Nissan claims is top in its class. Nissan mates that engine to an efficient Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). A hybrid powertrain available on SV and SL trims features a 2.0L 4-cylinder gasoline engine paired with a 30-kW electric motor. The system produces 176 horsepower and also includes regenerative braking. The Rogue comes standard with front-wheel drive, however all-wheel drive is optional on all models.
The base model Rogue S is still equipped with plenty of features. Air conditioning, cruise control, power door locks and power windows are all present. Unexpected extras at this trim level include NissanConnect 7-inch touchscreen display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rearview camera, LED daytime running lights and illuminated audio controls on the steering wheel.
The mid-grade SV adds to the S with 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, remote start, push-button ignition and intelligent key, automatic dual-zone climate control, 8-way power adjustable driver's seat, heated front seats, rear sonar system, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, automatic headlights and roof rails.
The top SL trim comes with everything from the SV plus 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, fog lamps, heated outside mirrors with turn signal indicators, leather seats, heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 7-inch touchscreen and navigation system, a Bose 9-speaker sound system, a power rear liftgate, intelligent cruise control and Nissan's ProPILOT assist.
Nissan offers various packages to enhance the Rogue as desired. The Special Edition Package and Premium Package add various unique styling elements to the exterior, plus comfort and convenience features to the interior. A Sun and Sound Touring package adds a panoramic moonroof and a 9-speaker Bose audio system. The Platinum Reserve Interior Package features tan leather seats with quilted leather inserts for an added custom and luxurious interior design.
Numerous safety systems come standard on the Rogue, including anti-lock brakes, traction control and stability control. Nissan Intelligent Mobility with Safety Shield 360 is standard on the SV and SL trims, offering a suite of active safety technology to give confidence on every drive.
